Triangle TV recycled

Triangle TV is the only freeview channel I have found here in New Zealand that broadcasts international news and is of a uniquely very high international quality and standard.

Triangle TV brings news from UK & Middle East, China and Europe in languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Chinese Mandarin, Russia Today (in English) and it operates throughout the night and day. There is even a movie from India screened every Saturday evening. It also plays 'homemade' videos here that are of a very high quality and offer perspectives to life here. There was also a very funny video about a shop that has opened to supply the emerging demand for 'shoes suitable or throwing' (spurred by the Iraqi journalist that threw his shoe at Bush when he was visiting) that had me laughing the whole way through.

Triangle TV was a discovery made due to the receipt of a recycled TV here, a very old TV with two very (very) long antennae. We wanted to watch a family movie at Christmas and so brought out the recycled TV from our storeroom - and that we had yet to test. The channels were pre-programmed and behold we discovered..... Aljazeera News hour! With some careful deductive work we have ascertained Aljazeera is broadcast along with many other programmes by Triangle TV, a not-for-profit community based news station that has a different schedule in each city here in New Zealand. Thanks to Triangle TV!
